The Landmine Man, a report produced by the Middle East Broadcasting Networks’ (MBN) Radio Sawa was shortlisted in the Best Radio Journalism category at the 2016 Association for International Broadcasting’s (AIB) annual awards.
The report profiles an Iraqi man who lost both of his legs in a landmine explosion 22 years ago. Despite his circumstances, he has since dedicated himself to going along the borders of Iran and Iraq searching and removing landmines.
